One of our course members took the IELTS test last month and her speaking topics were as follows ...

Part 1
About my house, where I live and about relationships.
Do you live in a house or an apartment?
What do you like about your house?
Tell me about the town you live.
Would you recommend others to live in your town?

Part2
Tell me about a person you lived with in the past.
Who were they? Who was he/she?
What were they/he/she like?
What did you do together?

Part3
What makes a person easy to live with?
Are you easy to live with?
Do you think that a marriage gets better as the couple age?

Another iPass student took their test recently and was asked the following questions:

The speaking test was about education as well.

Part 1
Where are you from?
Do you work or are you a student?
How many languages do you speak?

Why did you choose the job?

Part 2
Tell me about a school you went to when you were a child:
Where it was
What did the classroom look like?
What were the teachers like?

Part 3
Is there more pressure on children today?

Is the quality of education better today?

How can teachers improve?/ What abilities should teachers have?

So….home and education would be two good topics to revise!

We will soon be adding some new free vocabulary worksheets on different topics for the IELTS Speaking test.
