My name is Bïa and I’m Algerian. I’m preparing for my IELTS test which I plan to take in June. As many of you know, the best way to prepare is sometimes working with another person as this will help you: exchange your knowledge,proofread for each other and also it keeps willing to achieve more as you have a company and are not alone.
So I’m really interested to keep in touch with students in this website as you can contact me. We can, for example, create a skype live discussion with small groups and discuss some speaking and writing topics during weekends..

Thank you Bia for your excellent suggestion. It’s a great idea! I hope other iPass members will think so too and join in the discussion. This is a great opportunity to share ideas, opinions, problems and advice not only about the ielts exam but also about learning english and life in general.

You all have one thing in common already, the fact that you are preparing for the ielts exam, so that’s a good place to start in order to get to know each other. I think it’s very interesting to find out why other people are taking the exam and what they intend to do or where they intend to go once they have achieved the band score they need. People take ielts for so many different reasons!

So, come on - don’t be shy. Share your experiences with Bia and meet some other ipass members from around the world. It’s a great way to practice your English too!

Hi,

I hope you were able to hook up with each either on Skype or Messenger and that it was useful to speak to other ielts candidates who are in the same position and experiencing the same difficulties. Hopefully this could be a good way of sharing those experiences with others and to get help and advice from each other.

To everyone following this thread, we hope to introduce a Skype chat facility as part of our services at iPass. It is something we plan to trial on the 15-hour course we are currently developing and if it turns out to be successful, it is something we would definitely consider adding to the site.

From your comments, we understand that it would be a very useful tool for candidates worldwide who need “practice buddies” for the IELTS speaking test.

It is a great idea, so thanks for your valuable input and I hope you guys were able to chat together and do some practice too.
